Hate me if you want...
But, know that the moon,
Lined with dolphin-icing white,
Is my shining knight,
Tho his steed dropped dead
Beneath him...chained to the sky,
Magicianing half, full, new...
Lighting dripping darkness.
And, to the ether is only
To the shore, wading eternal
'hop scotch, waves got.'
Dolphins sing to me,
'Come closer, little one...
Farther is
Closer.'
A rich and haunting array of images. The mythic union of the moon and dolphins drawing us to them like a siren song is pure magic.
whoa, this might be too deep for my weak mind to interpret in it's entirety...but i do like your dolphin talk lol...10/10
I agree that we have to distance ourselves from those we love, because if we love someone enough, and find out they are only using us, then our love will let them go, only to find heartache somewhere else, while we find someone who is true. The surreal images in this poem make the reader think about those they left only to find someone new and trusting. At least for me it did. Thank you for sharing, and I give you a solid 10 for this. Love & hugs, Barbara
