Moonlight Nigh

MOONLIGHT NIGH

adventures pale against the sky
your foremost wish
is moonlight nigh
is moonlight nigh
the dust was tinted peach and rose
that in a sunset sky deposed
the primary coloured days
wash cares away and dream
though this may seem a careless rhyme
a trivial rhyme scheme
it is most sincerely meant
to soothe you when
you feel lament
has scattered everything awry.
this is my homespun lullaby
for you in after years; don't cry.
