Moonlit Night Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Moonlit Night

Riding on the bicycle in the serene moonlit night,
The traveller was moving through the tranquil village road
And singing a pleasant song,
The inexplicable beauty of nature filled his mind with infinite pleasure of the earth.
He was moving and moving with great ease,
Enjoying the fabulous glory of the silvery world;
The fields, the trees, the rivers, the ponds
And all other objects of nature were fully drenched with the shiny grey~white colour.
Finally he stopped in front of a little cottage,
Where the moon was shining at her best,
On a sudden the traveller felt the touch of a soft and loving hand from behind;
As he turned his face,
He found her,
They embraced each other with great emotion and fervour,
What a blissful moment it was!
The celestial queen smiled in the sky with great pleasure
And underneath the great lovers enjoyed their warmth of love.
Hush! the devils might try to do harm,
But they would never succeed,
For the divine moon would surely protect every beautiful and true thing in her lap.
