More And More Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

More And More

Rating: 5.0

World is no different
Its lacuna is apparent
We take pride and honor
Present the show as if burden is no more

It is in our blood
To ask price for parenthood
For bringing up child and his education
That is main basis for bond and relation

It runs into countless figures
No one is still sure
What the next demand will be
The bride is still not worry free

This evil is prevalent and openly seen
Sometimes it creates rowdy scene
The groom goes back unmarried
If his demand is not carried

Look at dreams of bride
She has to cry and hide
Her emotions from world
As miseries are more to be told

It goes on and brides are burnt
The parents bear the brunt
Law or no law, it is always debated
But the result goes on unabated
