More Missed To Love Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

More Missed To Love

More missed to love.
Are the ones who taught,
The meaning of love.
And what love was.
With proof of it done.
Less with talk but action.
To feel louder than words heard.
Lacking in personal satisfaction.

More missed to love.
Is the knowing who cared.
With a shown known interest.
Not to suspect why it was there.

Always remembered will be the ones,
Doing for others without this to ask.
Always remembered will be the ones.
Spending their time to want it done.
And making the difference,
Found each time they would come around.
To reminisce this...
Missed.

"Get up off your butt! Don't give up!
Don't allow your mind to remain stuck,
In a rut.
I thought you'd be tougher than that! "

The encouragement.
Not to expect it.
Or who knows what it takes,
To provide a motivation.
With just the right touch...
Of irritating agitation.

More missed to love.
Are the ones who taught,
The meaning of love.
And what love was.
With proof of it done.
Less with talk but action.

"You want me to help you? "

-Help me?
Help me what? -

"Give you a valid reason to complain.
I did not come here to hear you make,
The same excuses.
Get up. Take a shower and get dressed.
And I ain't got all day either."

-Where are we going? -

"Don't worry about it.
You've got 20 minutes."

The encouragement.
Not to expect it.
Or who knows what it takes,
To provide a motivation.
With just the right touch...
Of irritating agitation.
More missed to love,
The way it was done!
