More Puerto Rican Parrots Please - Lincoln Park Zoo

The Puerto Rican parrot plight
Back in 1975,
An extinction was within sight,
Only 13 were left alive.
A captive breeding program since
Has helped to bring this parrot back,
Hundreds of them in consequence,
Successful saving is on track.
And with government agencies
The Lincoln Park Zoo has worked so
Conservation activities
Have allowed the numbers to grow.

Because of help that we do give,
More Puerto Rican parrots live.
