The woods they gather so confining
The trails so long and without glee,
They gallivant and they groan-as if they have no true home,
but with a penchant for where they want to be.
But that rise I see on the far hill this fair morning
where I wander still bound and unfree,
I view this new gloaming on this once wretched morning-
As the place where I now want to be.
No longer am I alone
nor apart
No longer no bounce in my step,
The thoughts that I carry-
with a burden that once made me weary-
Is now light-
For its you that I carry in my heart.
