Morning Dawns Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Morning Dawns

Anticipating each one to await them.
Morning dawns.
Dew licked grass.
And the Sun watched to rise.

Anticipating each one to await them.
With an innocence to remember.
When the sky was blue.
As the budding of green leaves,
On Maple and Oak trees...
Seemed to dress the bareness,
Of their naked branches.
Left as if to express,
The purpose of Winter...
Had been to introduce Spring.

Impressive is this visual display.
Observing to wonder more,
As one grows older with age.
Impressive...
Is this visual display.
To realize how swift time flies.
Not to notice it before,
with such interest.
While moving through...
A slow blooming youth.

Sunsets?
No matter how beautiful they get.
Fewer to witness,
Will be those morning dawns.
And the visual display done in a way,
While moving through...
A slow blooming youth.
Only to reminisce it being rushed!
