Morning Song - Poem by Pam Morris

This morning is cold
I warm myself upon
the front porch
I drink tea
and say a prayer
hoping today may
be the first day of
the rest of my life.
I open my eyes and
feel the warmth of the
sun and the love of the
Lord.
