Mother 2013 - Poem by Rhonda Baker

Mother I sit and write a poem dedicated to you
But if I thanked you for everything I never would be through
Thank you for your love and hugs that help me along the way
And your caring gentle direction that lights my darkest day
May you know the love I send back to you, even though it'll never be enough
And know my strength is there to help when times for you to get tough
I hope you know how much I listened, when you told me of life
You are the model that I follow as mother and as wife
Like the stone is to the sculptor, I hope I am a vision unto you
A reflection of love and strength, standing fast, hard and true
