Mother- I Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Mother- I

Rating: 5.0

From ancient age
If mother's image
Points to pilgrimage,

Why kitchens still loom?
Why's she bogged with broom?
And not placed in Pooja room.

A thought provoking poem. Mother's sacrifices are often not acknowledged. There must be a special recognition given to their special roles in society. A well written poem.

I agree with you, but irrespective of that I think mothers would continue to do what they have for centuries. In human world there may be some eye to the future, but what about the animal world? They do not expect the youngs to look after then in old age.
