Mother's Place Poem by soren Barrett

Mother's Place

Her life part of your life
Her memories part of yours
Her smoke dissipates as notes from a fife
Its waning scent endures

An old relic put in the closet of the mind
A worn out skin shed
Hand made blanket you don't want anyone to find
Pulled out at night, wrapped around you in bed
