Muddy Spring Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Muddy Spring

Mud is the greatest thing that never gets old
When it rains
I'm in love with the mud every drop of rain brings
You can call me a child; I don't mind
You can come play with me on a slippery slide
Every day that it rains you will always find
My favorite thing- Is my favorite pastime

I don't care about the weather if you don't
When Mother says, 'Don't get wet, ' Know I won't
Every day before Spring is a natural joke
I'm feeling fine; Going crazy inside

Somehow Winter is a crime that unfolds
Who likes to play when, each day you are colder than cold
When it rains who can't wait to see it all go

All the kids want to play
On a muddy Spring day
