Mumbai Rain - Poem by mamutty CHOLA

During Mumbai rains, I make it a point go around
To experience the joy, beauty, and struggles of mumbaikar

Like spring, rainy season brings freshness all around
First rain is the harbinger of greenery all around

Majestic caravan of cloud in sky is an spectre to watch
Thunderbolts in cloud are signs of non stopped rains

Dark clounds spread length and breath on the sky
Birds fly in the sky in joy and singing song of welcome

Young and old lovers walk hand in hand on the sea shores
What a sight to see young children dancing inthe rains

Sights of old couples sitting on verandaenjoying the rains lost in their past
It is a scene of delight to see kids floating paper boats on rain water

Rains are hell for thosewho reside on footpath and in broken huts
Sad to see them search space under the flyover with their children

Kudos to the peopleof Mumbai they face life with smiles
It is lesson for those who grumble, what it meansto live in rain.
