Mumma, Are You Really No More? Poem by Mahfooz Ali

Mumma, Are You Really No More?

I don't have to be told
that you have a heart
which is made from gold
Mumma, are you really dead?

You have three children,
Mahfooz (Pappu) , Ayesha (Goga) , and Usman (Babu)
They all hoped you be here
when they would marry
Mumma, are you really dead?

You have a husband who wants to kiss you
and three children
who really miss you
Mumma, are you really dead?

I am one child of three
but I remember forever
how happy you have made me
Mumma, are you really dead?
