Muses Muse And Crow Despises Poem by Paul Brookes

Muses Muse And Crow Despises

Rating: 4.0

You are, said the Crow, mad.

mad, I replied, of course I'm mad,
we're all mad some of also become poets.

madness the Crow said is not poetics
Calliope never set foot here he says.

no but Melpomene does and sometimes
but and only if I'm very lucky, so does Thalia.

the Crow looks askance
and drops a feather,
see if you can write with this he says.

I'd be mad to try, I reply,
and that he says is the point.

Nice comedic poem. Let crow know we are all crazy though we act lazy
