New thoughts have arrived this morning
I opened the door and made them sit
And talked to them like guests of esteem
Some wished to stay
Some hesitated and some did flee
The next morning I saw new ones
And the next new and new and new…..unceasing
They are like days and nights
Brighten and darken my days as they like
Some blossom and some decay
And some flee to moon
Those stay with me are transformed into stars
Against the starless brief-sky and some unto flowers
Against brown and dusty sphere
And if God so wish they will outlive me
And stay in heaven for ever
