Musing With Priscilla Poem by Pene Burkey

Musing With Priscilla

When I sit at the computer
She wants up into my lap,
It's so hard to type and hold her
She's not there to take a nap.

There's a window she can look through
Watch for squirrel, bird, dog, and cat,
When something comes into her view
She's a hyper acrobat!

Amid all the noise and flurry
I lose my concentration,
I put her down in a hurry
And go to retrospection.

When she loses sight of her prey
Back she comes to her lap perch,
I hope she settles down to stay
And stops her nature research!
