Musings - Do I Need To Know Poem by Paul Warren

Musings - Do I Need To Know

How do we feel safe in this modern world?
Can we now walk in public and not be felled?
When looking to find safety is it better that I don't know?
And live in bliss with no apprehension to show
Is happiness and safety two different things for us
Do I need to know what the danger is and make a fuss
Or should I live within myself in happiness
Not knowing what could be dropped to make a mess?
I have thought this through and the plan ahead
Is to strike a balance and not live forever scared!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Is living and not knowing better than knowing about the dangers and worrying what can happen? I think in the end you should strike a balance.
