Musings - Courage Poem by Paul Warren

Musings - Courage

Rating: 5.0

What makes courage for all to see?
Is it doing something against the odds that be
When what ever happens chances are
You would not survive or get very far

There are others who stand up for right
And know there is an individual price for the fight
Or others due to their personal circumstances each day
Face up to their demons that won't go away

Hail each one of them for what they do
For their courageous acts that grew
And know that when called upon to do
That you will need to face these questions too.

So true a question: What makes courage for all to see? and the answer still leaves me pondering over the question. One does not be termed courageous for all the world to see. sometimes standing up for the right, in whatever situation you are in, needs courage. I believe in that too.

The poem duly acknowledges the acts of courage and eulogizes those fighting the odds with exemplary courage. Thanks for this beautiful poem from which I quote: There are others who stand up for right /....Face up to their demons that won't go away
