Muslim Wife Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Muslim Wife

Muslim wife

In times I look at them, jealously
-those with no memory!
-lucky guys…
I do so just because
I recall when was kept in blinds
-in Evin, hands were tied
-had to lean against wall
-overheard when she talked
-interrogated by devil she replied
-so smart that could feel thoughts of man;
- -had to hide
- -meant to say
-lucky man who has you as his wife

Devil had killed such man.

-I was wife and Muslim
-followed wants of husband!

I knew as did the agent of the devil
-she was a lioness
-equal to her dead
-fearsome as fighter…

Lucky those who have lost memories
-they do not want repeat
-gone are their treasures and old things

I want mine repeating
-want to live as brave, freely
-with the men and women who can see
-hate feeling dragged like a rat's tail
-what is this worthless life?
-what is this hell for me?
-within walls in shit bowl
-stinking until gone with flush

Who was I? What am I?
Lucky are people with amnesia

Hey doctor give me some poison…let this end…
