Must Hide Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Must Hide

Rating: 5.0

Must hide

Near farms, I stand
A paddle in my hand.

Look around and observe
Animals and farmers.

Wonder what I would say
If was sheep or cattle.

What if was kept in cage,
Carried by tractor?

What if mad driver
Took me to a butcher?

Drowned in my thoughts, I
Forget all about job!

Do not like to serve men,
Mankind is brutal!

Kills nature, animals,
As fungus and a wild.

Steps on Natives' neck
As savage and pagan.

Prefer to get lost
Or depart, go to hide.

Sometimes, it's good to get away from it all. Great poem, Nassy.
