My 100th Poem Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

My 100th Poem

When chatting on the phone to you,
I hear what you do say,
The tones I sense within your voice,
When I am here and you are there.

I wish that you were next to me,
And I could feel what I do sense,
My feelings of tenderness for you,
As they grow more and more intense.

When will you be next to me?
How long will I wait alone?
Will you soon talk face-to-face with me?
And not just on the phone?

Will initial talk into friendship grow?
Will we find pastimes to enjoy?
Together, in each other's company,
For I am Human not a toy.

We need to be with each other,
On many days each week,
To make this friendship work for us,
And find the love we both do seek.
