'Muscle Spasms' Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

'Muscle Spasms'

Another calf muscle spasm has come
With excruciating pain,
I inwardly scream and moan
Till the spasm goes away.
I know the muscle will work soon,
But the pain will last more than one day.

These spasms come infrequently,
I know not when or where,
I live in hope they'll go away
For the pain is more than I can bear.

Drugs are available to combat this,
But they are not good for me,
For Quinine will trigger my Myasthenia
With bigger problems there to be.
