My Academic Comments On Poems Are Now Extinct Poem by Terence George Craddock

My Academic Comments On Poems Are Now Extinct

Rating: 5.0

the time of my writing detailed comments
analysis of poems by poets on poemhunter.com
did not last long just a few short fleeting years

mainly for two reasons

although I enjoyed writing analysis reviews
of poems I read loved in academic formats
which I thought a few fellow poets might

enjoy in detail ink spilt

a few male poets were displeased by lengths
taken in writing my poetic appreciation enthusiasm
poemhunter.com shortened limited comments

to space brevity 300 characters

no depth comment space left
too short for academic analysis format
academic comments are extinct

I think a critique of a creative work can also be a creative accomplishment. If one is perceptive enough to find layers of aesthetic experience in an artwork or poem, it is good to share that [perception. To evoke an aesthetic experience one has had is also a creative genre.
