My ancestors are with me.
I walk into doors already opened by them.
I sleep knowing that they surround me.
I fear not. I trust all of them.
Africa holds my roots.
My origin in which my ancestors live.
They're everywhere, around me at all time.
One call, they readily respond to me.
My ancestors, guide me.
Protect me because all, you see.
My ancestors, guide me
Protect me because all, you see.
Those who challenge me get confused.
They see only a reflection of themselves.
Many faces, they have to face
Because those of the river,
isiziba sokhokho protect me.
I give them coins,
I light candles for them.
They don't ask anything
but give me everything.
I feel them, in spirit I join.
I see them, in spirit I join.
When I visit the water,
I ask the water to move, it moves.
But it's not the water, but my ancestors.
Iizinyanya zakuthi zithi makubechosi, kubehele.
Livumile icamagu, livumile.
Bumkile ubumnyama.
Kuvelile ukukhanya.
