My Black Hair First Started Falling Poem by Mohammad Younus

My Black Hair First Started Falling

Rating: 5.0

My black hair first started falling,
And then silently and gradually,
It started turning grey;
Now, I am absolutely bald!
No trees grow on my Siachen!

My strong white teeth started,
Over the years decaying and aching,
And my gums started bleeding;
I am now finally a toothless oldman!
Unable to chew, grind, or bite;
A harmless person! A nonviolent!
A Buddha of my times!
Don't pity me!
My life I have not spent in waste;
Everything's been realized, as I could;
In my breast, knowledge and wisdom,
I've collected as most invaluable treasure;
Yea, my goodness! I've realized the truth;
The most deeply secret of my life!
