My Body Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

My Body

My body
Tuesday,29th May 2018

My dear, the body belongs to no one
you can share with none
it belongs to only mother earth
and that shall merge with clay after death

Yes, your soul may be divine
so you can define
it has to have contact with heavenly bodies
as the soul may fly towards

make the body as an abode of living God
it must have no other load
it has no scope for body lust
but laden with only confidence and trust

let poetry speak of some hidden facts
and be transformed into an act
our human life is full of challenges
and we must concentrate to manage

The body is prone to decay
it must go away
into flame and disappear
and no trace of it thereafter
