My Childhood Memories Poem by DM W

My Childhood Memories

Sun-lit, flower- strewn avenues of dreams.
Where we once walked in springtime's verdant days,
Permeate my mind. What is and what seems
Merge together in such glorious ways.
The gardens in which we played still seem vast
And forever green. I remember the games
And the making of daisy chains. The past
May no longer be, but these thoughts remain.
