My Colors Poem by C. K. Young

My Colors

Rating: 5.0

Black is the shade of death
And the color of those who have taken their last breath
Red is the stain of suffering and pain
All who fall to this are anything but sane
Blue is the tone of emptiness and solemness
The color of loners who have something to suppress
Purple is the tinge of the damned and forsaken
They lay underground waiting to awaken
Yellow is tint of corruption
Those who loathe in their every action
Green is the pigment of greed
The color of those who let it control their every deed
These are my colors and what they mean to me
Don't judge, just let me be
