My Confession Poem by Neha Kaushik

Today, when I saw you again,
So many moments were revisited.
I had a dream walk down the memory lane.
I could feel the same numbness, I felt,
when I saw you for the first time.
Since then……….


When you crossed the boundaries of my heart,
I’m still clueless.
When those distances turned into closeness,
I have no idea.
When that mere friendship turned into a strong liaison,
Yet, I’m unaware.
All I remembered is that,
You were driving me in your direction,
and I was just moving along.

With your each word,
With your each smile,
With your caring ways,
I was getting addicted to you.
You became my passion,
You became my obsession,
I was so much in love with you.

Though I could never give voice,
to my emotions, my feelings.
But my eyes said it all.
Yet, being my friend you never understood,
and left me to fight with your memories.
I buried my emotions,
in a subtle realm of my brain.
I was living peacefully.

But now that I’ve seen you again,
All those feelings have been unearthed,
All those emotions have captured me again.
I cannot fight any more,
I’ve surrendered
Finally, with all my power I confess-
“I love you ardently,
I’m all yours,
So, do I stand a chance, M y Love? ”
