My Copy Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

My Copy

Rating: 5.0

My copy

Though not me,
She is me at fifteen.

She works late
Also does schooling.

Cleans, mobs and replies
Questions of customers
Exactly what I did…

At counter, sells pizza
I worked in pharmacy.

"Wish you well my dear; "
I smiled and told her
And mean it, for ever.

This is not "Child labour! "
Wrong it is if addressed.

Kids must be taught to learn
That mixing with others
Is part of daily life; and real.

Confidence and pride
Come only from job
Regardless of its name
Read or write, translate
To teaching the others
Or repair a heater, bicycle
Or cooking, bake to sell
Or farming, to harvest
Whatever, whatever
"Repeat" means remember:
"In life, you, are member
Of class or group or nation
With, without some borders."

Children must learn of
Life's value, give and take;
Not to be weak insect, vampire.
