My Dream Poem by Peter S. Quinn

My Dream

I saw you in my dream
you were sailing away,
on the blue river stream
the waves did play.

There were memories
in days of sunshine,
there were green trees
and life was doing fine.

I saw you standing there
in daybreaks new,
and in my heart, you were
still, always love true.

There's none in-between
only the heart and beat,
dreams we have both seen
that in our dreams meet.

I saw always you
for you were giving so much,
and that dream is true
because love has its touch.

So much in life is gone
and nothing comes again,
we just move on
in prosper or in vain.
