My Elusive Love Poem by Paul Warren

My Elusive Love

Rating: 5.0

A long pathway beside the sea
She looks up and she sees me
I walk towards her and she hurries away
Running hard why wont she stay the day

Calling out my voice is lost on the wind as it whips and stirs
I wonder at her beauty and want to reach out to her
But she is away in the distance now I know
And my heart pounds as I realise I won't have her now.
