My Existence Poem by Amani AlSaddiq

My Existence

You treat me like I am nothing,
You know I have feelings too,
I go to my room every night weeping because of you.
You do not know how much it hurts to be ignored and unwanted.
Try being in my shoes for just one day,
Coming home, ready to run not wanting to be alive.
My legs trembling because I'm scared to death that life will be the same even when I'm not here.
Knowing no one cares that I've even disappeared.
So think the next time,
When you say something to me or ignore me,
I may not be here ever again because of your words hurting me,
Think about it twice before letting those harsh words go,
Because the next time you say something,
I might just let my life go.
