My Fatal Wound - Poem by Ryan Holmes

I die today,
I wish I may,
Gain strength to say,
My ashamed truth.

To see you there,
Oh do I dare?
My heart is bared,
My tongue is loose.

I love you so,
No, please don't go!
Damned Cupid's bow,
It leaves me doomed.

I'm sinking deep,
And still I weep,
This pain I'll keep,
My fatal wound.
