You've given me a great friendship
You've been there for me and much more
That's why I shut my lonely lips
And never say my love is yours
I'm happy that you hold him close
But sad that you have never known
My true feelings, the way I see
The way you've always looked to me
He holds you in his arms tonight,
While I'm alone, alone with fright
You've fallen for him I can see
I wish you felt that way for me
I tell you I'm glad you're happy
A lie to make you smile, maybe
But worth it every single time
It is worth every tear that's mine
