The devil’s tongue is swelled with lies
Yet still I take heed to his song
So soothing is his lullaby
Confusing, is this right or wrong?

Please help me lord, to find my way
I need your light to shine on me
I haven’t yet found strength to say
I’m on the path to being free

Please take me away from this agony
Please save my soul and set me free
I need your love, I need you here
Before this darkness takes over

The roads that I am bound to take
Are strewn with rocks and barriers
With each and every move I make
I’m slain by mental harriers

I pick myself up off the ground
Dust off my jeans, and walk once more
Yet each time this happens I’m found
With less strength to fight off the horde

Please take me away from this agony
Please save my soul and set me free
I need your love, I need you here
Before this darkness takes over

I guess that you don’t really care
I’m on my own once more, it seems
This pain is getting hard to bear
Please wake me from The Devil’s dream

Alone once more on this damn road
I make the same choices again
The same feelings, still hard to bode
The same wrong turns I made back then
