My Friend Poem by Dónall Dempsey

My Friend

Rating: 5.0

when I throw a stone
in its eye

with one ho ho
after another ho ho

wrinkles
spreading all over its face.

My friend
the pond.

And in the ever widening circles and ripples, another face joins you in the laughter of throwing rocks just for the joy of.... throwing rocks!
