My Gender Poem by Namita Rani Panda

My Gender

I'm a unique creature
With no specific feature
So, please never ask me about my gender,
With vast skies in my eyes
Fathomless ocean in my core
And an earth in my womb
I take any colour and form
Like water
Though colourless, odourless
Million rainbows potent within
I"m beyond the boundaries of any caste and religion.

I can get drenched when there is no rain
And can remain dry and calm in heavy storm
As my imagination gallops without reign,
I can delve deeper into others' pain
And transform my pain into priceless gain,
I can feel the breath of the 'I' in you
And pour your feelings on paper with your choicest hues

I can open the door of my heart to you
To lead you to your heart through the tunnels anew
But never expect me tobe nude before you
To prove my gender
Because I am a unique creature
With no specific gender!
