I know a sweet old lady
For me she prays daily

I know her warmth all too well
For always there I dwell

I know her teachings by heart
For while growing up all of them I heard

I know of God through her lessons
For she instilled them through her instructions

I know she cares deeply
For she shows me plenty

I know she fears for my choices
For always wisely she advises

My Granny’s is God Given
She is a unique woman

I have the greatest from all the rest
That is why for me she is the best

And love her always and forever I will
For with happiness my heart she fills
