My Guardian - Poem by Megan McDowell

My heart my dear,
My sole,
Why they're dead.
Did I forget to tell you?
Oh my, I'm sorry, I do indeed appologize.
They've been gone for years, ripped and torn apart from me.
It should help to know though,
Life, that feeling of being alive?
I get it when I'm around you.
Are you my savior, are you mine?
perhaps even my guardian angel?
If true love exists, I believe you might be mine.
When the walls are closing in on me,
When i cry tears of pain and can't breath..
When I've lost all hope that's left to find..
You're there for me, and I thank you.
