My Guardian Ang3l Poem by angel lockheart

My Guardian Ang3l

Rating: 4.5

My feet beat the ground as I run,
Keeping the rhythm to my life’s song,
Darting away from the pain,
Never wanting to feel again,
In my panic, I trip and fall,
Jarring my arms, and breaking my soul,
Tears mixing with the blood on my cheek,
I curl in a ball and continue to weep,
The gravel digging into my sides,
But my body won’t move,
Wanting to die,
Little did I know-
I’d fallen on yellow lines.

Suddenly I hear a horn close by my side,
& then two hands lifting me up,
Cradling me in an almost fatal hug,
I hear wings beating,
& when I open my eyes,
The only thing I see is the sky,
But when I painfully go and turn my head,
I see a strangers face beside me instead,
Feathery white silhouetting his features,
My guardian ang3l for now and forever.
