.my Heart Have Eyes

Rating: 2.1

My heart have eyes, that see farther than mine,
that peer through the mist of doubt that surround us,
and while I stumble, it can see the way clearly.
Eyes that gaze back to now and sparkle with knowledge,
of a road not yet traveled, and a love unavoidable.

My heart have eyes, that see clearer than mine,
that looks at a day beyond this seeming ordinary one,
and while I dream here, it resides with you, over then.
Eyes that look upon the stars of when we will be
and smiles at the days we cannot yet see.

My heart have eyes, that witness more than mine,
that looks past the pain and the sorrow, sees what will follow
and while I sit here alone, it beats there with you.
Eyes that sees past those little gold flecks in yours,
and stares, unashamedly, at the perfect glow of your soul.

My heart have eyes, that shine more than mine,
that laughs and talks and sings, in a world that is not yet for me,
and while I am trapped here with hope, it is already there and free.
Eyes that will forever see only the beauty in you,
and never cry for what might have been or could yet be.

Dewald, hierdie gedig is MOOI.
