I remember love's sweet glowing ember
No others could have loved as we two.
Beautiful memories live on forever
And my heart is 'a home' just for you.

Shall we walk on the seafront together
And listen to the orchestra play
Just as we did in days long gone by
When no other girl was as happy as I.
Shall we walk through the lowlands together
Where the air is perfumed and still
We may steal a kiss in the moonlight
And hear those wedding bells peal.
