My Heart's Been Hurt. Poem by Vin Ace

My Heart's Been Hurt.

You left my soul pieced, on the floor.
My heart you squeezed, broke, and tore.
Without a care what to me you did,
You stabbed me deep that I did bleed.
My heart though fixed is bruised and scared.
The injury once there still hurts as bad.
The day we met was such a dawn,
But its memory stabs my heart like thorns.

The hurt you inflicted I didn't see coming,
You looked me in the eye lying, "you loved me".
The days went by painted with love and laughter,
In my euphoria, you stabbed, me tearing my life apart.
I let my guard and walls down, trusting you.
But you left me in the dark without a clue.
I did not see the deceit in your lips.
This pain is deep and I can't mitigate it fully.

I know pain since you did teach me,
Falling and hurting I've seen all degrees.
I wish deep within we never did meet.
I hope no one else faces the pain you bring.
I will keep In my heart the good days we had.
And strive to forget the days of peril.
But know one thing, my heart's been hurt.
And this experience is inscribed deep in my soul
