My Imperfections Poem by Dougie Fresh

My Imperfections

What would happen if today,
My dream girl became a reality?
Would she accept me for who I am?
I am not rich and do not have
A million dollars-but if I did I
Would give it all to her!
My body is not perfect-and i
Am not a model-I could stand to
Lose some weight-Would it matter
To her? Every year my hair gets
A little thinner with age-
Would she love me anyway?
Could my baby girl-the girl
I dream of all night-
And daydream about all day
Look past my imperfections?
Would she hold me tightly
All during the night and
Awake me with soft kisses
When the sun rises?
Would she whisper sweet words
To me? Could she look past the
Imperfections and see my heart
Is pure-and my feelings are
Sincere? If I ever get a chance
To meet her-these are the
Questions I will ask-and if
She says yes-that will make
My heart flutter-and butterflies
Will fill my body with pleasure-
If one day-the girl of my dreams
Could ever become more than
A dream-and become my reality!
