My Last Dollar Poem by Ronald Strickland

My Last Dollar

My Last Dollar - Poem by Ronald Strickland
As I was walking down a sidewalk today,
I found a dollar, I asked the person in front of me
if they had lost the dollar that I had found today.

As I listened to his reply,
he said I have lost so much in life,
seems nothing good has came my way.

If I only had a way, I would see what life would offer me this day.
I have lived life for others, never getting others
to live life that I would have loved to see, in return.

As I walk this sidewalk today I threw my last dollar away.

Please, keep the dollar; I can only hope without cost true love will find me someday.
and real love may will find you someday.
