My Life Poem by Taher Shemaly

My Life

Physics I study and so hard it is
Melancholy over me and so lonely my life is
Heritage of sadness kept for me
Hundreds of years ago are to come after me
Words of a mute are heard but not mine
The heart is broken and a soul drunk with wine
Those are to be mine as long as I live

Memories of old days are not to be remembered
Happy moments in this life are to be numbered
Just a grasp of water they are like
Oh tears and laughters now are alike
Long road it is to be crossed
And then only eyes are left to be closed
And that's life, not to be given, but to give

Sick or healthy what makes the chance
Just take your violin and flute my friend and make a dance
This life doesn't worth a pinch of grain
Everything comes down after maintain
So why bother
Ye my best brother
Cruel life it is, and them, who want to live
