My Life - Poem by Ellie Watts

All I knew,
and all i believd
are crumbling images
that no longer confort me.
I scramble to reach
higher ground.
Thisa ground is not the
rock i thought it to be.
I was wrong.
The water is rising
upon me.
I thought the sun would
come deliver me.
But the truth has come
to punish me instead.
